At this event, co-hosted by the National Committee on American Foreign Policy, Professor Zhao will explore shifts in China’s foreign policy since 1949, highlighting how Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and Xi Jinping reshaped it to align with their visions. Drawing from his book The Dragon Roars Back, he will focus on Xi’s power consolidation and its impact on foreign policy.
