Jeanmarie Fenrich
Director, Corporate Social Responsibility Program
Jeanmarie Fenrich is the Director of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice at Fordham Law School. Previously, she served as Director of Special Projects (Africa) and the Executive Director of the Leitner Center. She teaches specialized classes and supervises projects for Fordham Law students to work on in partnership with non-government organizations, inter-governmental organizations and academic institutions. She has taught classes and clinics on Corporate Social Responsibility, the theory and practice of human rights law, gender equality, reproductive rights, human rights defenders, land and property rights, ethnic minorities, LGBTI rights, the UN Security Council, and Civil Procedure.
Fenrich has authored numerous human rights reports, policy papers and academic articles and served as Editor and contributing author to The Future of African Customary Law (Cambridge University Press) and is an Editor for the UPSA African International & Comparative Law Journal. She has convened and participated in conferences on international and domestic human rights topics, including African Customary Law, global development and maternal mortality, gender equality and the First Amendment. She has conducted fieldwork and worked in partnership with students and local organizations and academics in South Africa, Ghana, Malawi, New Zealand, Rwanda, Botswana, Armenia, Iran, Kenya, and the United States.
