The Leitner Center for International Law and Justice is pleased to co-host Machik Weekend 2015. The 9th Annual Machik Weekend will feature innovative approaches to global civic engagement, particularly in Tibet, by connecting its current challenges and possibilities to wider global issues.
This year’s Machik Weekend will be held from November 20-22, 2015 at the Fordham Law School in NYC. The theme of this year’s weekend is Civic Engagement & Tibet and we are honored to host a diverse range of speakers and innovators who will discuss solutions-oriented approaches in Tibet and other places.
Our goal is to illuminate the value of resourceful and imaginative ideas and practices and their impact on communities at local and global levels. Through roundtables and informal discussions, participants share experiences and learn about key issues such as education and social entrepreneurship in the project of social engagement in Tibet.
